You can join the Brown Bag Zoom here or via our Facebook event.

In the wake of the pandemic, many museums turned to social media for outreach. A year later, social media still matters! In this presentation, museum and marketing professionals Thea Haver and Devin Geraci will share best practices, free and low-cost resources your institution can use to prepare professional content and promote engagement, and how creativity can keep your content relevant and far-reaching.

Thea Haver joined the museum field in 2002 and has served as an Exhibit Manager at the Maryland Science Center, the Director of Education of the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, and as an independent museum consultant. In 2018, she co-founded Modern Albuquerque, a "museum without walls, but a lot of exteriors" focused on the city's modernist architecture and modern public art. With a B.A. in Electronic Media & Film, she leverages her experience in media and project management in marketing arts and cultural organizations.

Devin Geraci is an emerging museum professional and current graduate student with both the University of New Mexico’s Museum Studies program and the Anderson School of Management. She has broad experience in museum work, including education, visitor services, administration, and marketing. Devin has worked at a variety of institutions, including the Museum of Florida History, the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, and currently, the University of New Mexico Art Museum where she serves as the Marketing Manager. Devin also volunteers her time to serve on the National Emerging Museum Professionals Network’s Advocacy Committee.

Looking forward to seeing you at the April Brown Bag!
